The story
The story is set in a village divided by a high wall. On one side, live the farmers (the Brown-eyed people); on the other, the artists (the Blue-eyed people). Fueled by the propaganda of their elders, the two sides live in mutual distrust. However, when two kids, Sky and Clay, who don’t fit in, strike up an unlikely friendship, they must find an ingenious way to tear down the walls of prejudice and bring their community together.

Meet the founder
Jeff King
Act and Learn Productions is dedicated to enriching education through the magic of musical theater. Our mission is to inspire creativity and foster a love for the arts among students. We believe in the power of music and song to transform learning experiences, encouraging students to express themselves and develop essential skills. Our values are rooted in creativity, inclusivity, and educational excellence, aiming to make a positive impact on young minds through innovative musical productions.
Musical Mastery: Trained in piano and theory at The Royal Conservatory of Music and Moorpark College, Jeff brings technical rigor to every score.
A Proven Composer: With five years as a resident composer, lyricist, and musical director for a prominent Toronto children’s theater school.
Professional Performer: A mainstay in the Southern California music scene, Jeff has performed in commercial bands, as a lounge pianist, and as a recording artist with a dedicated album of original children’s songs called Squirmies.
Today, Jeff balances his work as a professional piano teacher and performer with his vision for Act and Learn Productions, ensuring the next generation of performers has access to the highest quality material.
